RF CODE ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR SYMBOL GEN2 RFID READER - November 8th 2005
XR400 Multi-Protocol RFID Reader from Symbol Technologies Marks First EPCglobal Gen2 Device to be Supported by RF Code's Award-Winning TAVIS Platform MESA, AZ (November 8, 2005) – RF Code, Inc., a premier developer of hybrid RFID data management software and enabling technologies today announced support for the XR400 Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) reader from Symbol Technologies, Inc. The XR400 reader was recently certified for Generation 2 (Gen 2) compliance by EPCglobal Inc., an international, not-for-profit standards organization. In addition, the XR400 provides built-in support for all types of Electronic Product Code (EPC) passive tags, including EPC-compliant Generation (Gen) 1, Class 0 (read-only and read/write) and Class 1 tags. “RF Code will continue to add software drivers and support for industry-leading devices like the XR400 RFID reader from Symbol,” said Dr. Nissim Ozer, chief technology officer of RF Code. “Our systems integrator partners rely on the TAVIS data management platform as they architect hybrid RFID networks, and they will in turn rely on us to provide the tools to support these evolutionary devices.” About RF Code, Inc.
